4 out of 5 stars
T6.5S Good all around tread mill, up to 10 mph, large size. Great for Covid-19 excercise indoors.
Tread mill isn't the top of the line, but works for those who want to run or walk briskly. If you have never used a treadmill before, I would caution you to get used to one before you buy. It feels different running on a treadmill than it does running outside. Some people get dizzy using a treadmill, like my wife did.Like all treadmills, if you run, the landing of your feet on the treadmill is noisy. We set it up upstairs, but ended up moving it to the basement because of this.Being able to raise the treadmill base up right is a nice feature as it gets 1/2 of the treadmill out of the way when not in use. It is a long base, so does stick up about 6 feet in the air. The mechanism for lowering is nice as you can just let it go, and it will fall at a slow rate, and then goes very slow at about about 2 feet from the ground.Mine came damaged. The box didn't look too bad when I got it but the plastic front for the motor/electronic cover was cracked. Took awhile to get the bottom and top cover replacement parts due to Covid-19. I was able to use the treadmill until the new parts arrived. The bottom motor pan is not for the faint of heart to replace. You have to remove 3 connectors that are pressure fit into the cover. You have to remove some wires, and remember where they went when you put the new pan on. 2 screws require you to tip the treadmill over to get at them. The packaging is robust EXCEPT for the front of the base where the plastic cover is. The manufacturer could use some better packaging here. The box with everything in it is extremely heavy. We ended up unpacking the box outside and moving in the pieces (with Covid-19, delivery would not bring inside. This was a warning given when purchased.) Even still the motor-tread-mill-base is not a one person job to move. Assembly takes awhile. Some of the screws are hard to get at. You need 2 people to put the upright display-stand onto the base. The display is too bright for me, but a "Dim it" sheet did the trick (see picture)The manufacturer wants you to use the online registration to enable the "custom" workout features on the treadmill. Your first year is free, but after that you need to pay. I bypassed this by holding down the "IFit" button for 15 seconds (not documented anywhere, but found other reviewers who discovered this). None of the 20 programmed workouts, work when you do this, but I have always been a straight-run-for 30 minutes at a constant pace and constant incline person. The treadmill has nice 1 to 10 mph buttons so you can adjust course speed, then get your 10ths of an mph for fine tuning with the +/- buttons. The heart rate monitor does not work for me. It always reads way low and takes a long time to get a reading (by holding the handles on the top console). This is typical in my experience with treadmills, getting a good heart rate with the hand holds provided is always hit or miss, even on expensive treadmills. I use my Garmin 605 watch and heart rate strap when I want to monitor my heart rate. The display features are busy. It is hard to see progress of your run with the bar graph that is trying to look 3D. I ignore it now.You cannot enter your weight so the calories expended I assume is based on a constant weight. For me 175lbs, the calories seem higher compared to more expensive treadmills I have used in gyms. The documentation requires you to use a UL 1449 Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor, 450 joules or more, 400 volt or less compliant power strip (15 amp). I could find only one power strip that said on Amazon that it was UL 1449 complaint. I suspect most are, but Amazon does not put a lot of info on their pages about the products they sell. The manual says injury could occur if you don't use the correct Suppressor, but they don't say what could happen if you don't: electrocuted? explosion? fire? They really need to give you a link to some suppressors that they know are compliant. This was another $24.They also recommend a mat. I got a 60" which isn't long enough. Get a 72". Another $31.Has an Aux input for your "Ipod" and 2 speakers. I have never used these as I use ear buds when running so as not to disturb the rest of the family. All in all, for the price I paid, it works great. Not the low end that breaks or suddenly halts when you go too fast, but not the extremely robust gym style treadmills ($2000+)Some reviewers say they have trouble with the surge suppressor or breaker tripping. I didn't have any trouble like this. Others say the belt slips. After 5 months of use, I have no issues like this.First Pic: "IFit" button. 2nd: "20 Workouts" button that does nothing unless you register. 3rd: Display with "Dimm It" sheet peeled back to see the difference. 4th: Surge protector I bought on Amazon is a Tripp Lite surge protector, 2160 joules. 5th: Treadmill raised up.

Easy assembly and works great.
First of all, after extensive research on best treadmills in the internet, many YouTube reviews and assembly videos, taking a close look at the Amazon reviews and looking at the lowest price in CamelCamelCamel, I thought this was the best model for my needs.
This treadmill is actually for snowy and raining days, my wife and I prefer running and walking outside but we live in central New York State with a wicked winter. Based on that I selected a model at a more reasonable price tag, plus I waited for the Black Friday deals which worked perfectly. The treadmill will be used by myself and my wife only, we are in our mid-sixties. I run a 5K every morning and after I walk with my wife 4 miles daily. We are in great physical shape but we are not top athletes.
Ordering: Be wise and get “Room of Choice Delivery” for $20. It is a very heavy box and my treadmill was going to the third floor. Best spent $20.
Assembly: I watched a few YouTube videos, they were very helpful. The assembly movie in Amazon is not for this model. There is also a very useful App recommended by NordicTrack, BILT, it is free and very convenient, get it. The instructions that came with the treadmill were good too. I had the help of my wife, took my time, and after one hour it was all assembled. It went flawless. Nothing came broken and no damage during the installation. I have to say that everything inside the shipping box was well protected during the shipping.
Start-Up:
First of all, I do not care for using iFIT, I don’t need a coach to energize me, we are always all pump-up about exercising. I use my tablet/Ipad with YouTube, I look for scenic hike like in the Alp’s or the Rockies and that works perfectly for me. My wife watches her own videos or make calls. I don’t think it is necessary to pay for the app. The reviews make it clear that iFIT customer service is very poor and will not help bypassing the app. Maybe if the only charge $5 a month, then maybe you can try it. It is a personal decision.
So, I turned it on and press the iFIT button for 15 seconds to defeat the iFIT app. It energized and ready for use.
Ready for a test, I raised the incline and it worked, I brought the speed slowly and everything sounded good and worked.
Use:
So, it snowed in New York and we fully tested the treadmill. I started walking and changed the inclined and accelerated manually. I had my tablet on top of the panel, I could still change speed and incline. As long as the running speed is less than 6 mph the table was stable, once you go up it will rattle a little bit. I had the tablet connected to the speakers; they are no Bose speakers but sounded a lot better than the tablet speaker. The screen gives you enough information and I can see the information without my glasses. I use an Apple watch which is more accurate so I don’t go by the panel on calories or pulse. I tested the various preprogram workouts and they work fine. The motor is not loud even if it is an under $700 treadmill. I ran up to 7 mph and everything was good. I don’t need to go up to 10 mph so I have enough room for running. Ran for one hour and was happy with the machine, had a great workout.
It was the first time for my wife to use the treadmill, I explained everything, it was easy, she did her walk changing manually the speed and the incline. She loved the treadmill; I think she will be the may user. Everything works great and it looks good.
Stowing: Easy to lift to the stow position and easy to move around. Mine is stationary at a window so I can look out.
I will update the review later, it does look very solid, let’s see how long it last.
I highly recommend this treadmill for home use, specially if you don’t need a fancy big screen and it is mostly for the days you can’t run/walk outside. Great for just a couple of people with a few hours of usage a day.

Ordered on Prime Day for nearly $200 off. Used $15 from my Amazon card rewards and saved that much more! Was going to purchase this or another sooner but waited for a sale on one or the other. This won out. Paid to have a local guy assemble it, bought a treadmill mat and surge protector and final cost including tax was the same as regular retail as of 6/30/21, $650 total. Pretty good deal as it feels like someone else paid for assembly, accessories, and sales tax! Delivery was as promised, box and contents in perfect order. Thanks Amazon.

The treadmill itself? Good stuff. You get what you pay for and a bit more. All things being equal this is as good as it gets in this price range for a home treadmill. It's not intended for heavy duty, high impact use, though sturdy. It's more for walking and jogging. Sprinting in spurts. Just look at some videos of it in use and you'll get the idea. It looks nice enough and not like a big, cheap plastic eyesore. It operates smoothly and is reasonably quiet. The control console is well designed and laid out. It has twenty preset routines and manual adjustments which include increasing speed and incline by increments instead of whole numbers. So the treadmill will run at say 3.7mph and incline at 4.5 percent, etc. Cushioning is adequate and it feels solid beneath you. No shaking or otherwise. Very stable.

And that's it, really. It's a treadmill and it works. What sets it apart from others in this price range is its size. It is indeed bigger / roomier where it counts. The tread board and belt. I found just two other treadmills in the $650 to $1000 range that offered a belt with a 20in width. And one of those while promoting it as "heavy duty" lacked an incline feature and has a 19.3in wide belt. It makes a difference! Especially when most of these lower end home treadmills come with 16-17.5in wide belts. No matter how BIG they make the treadmill look in their ads with doctored photos. If your feet aren't too big this NordicTrack should be nice. Just take out a measuring tape and measure 20in against 16 or 17 and the difference is clear. The belt is also 50in long. Which is beyond standard in this price range. What I found are many $650+ treadmills are really $400 and $500 treadmills that are being oversold on their features. And show ad pics that make the machine look big and the user small. Open the box and set it up and you'll find you paid $700 for a $450 product. But this NordicTrack will be the "more" you pay for. The only other one close is the Horizon T101. Take a close look at both imo, weigh pros and cons and pull the trigger on one or the other.

I can't touch on the speakers as they are not being used. iFit integration was easily bypassed and not being used. Really no big deal to bypass it so I don't know why people complain. The unit itself is a good deal. The materials used for the machine are of quality you'd expect in this segment, and the look is basic but a bit sleek and sporty. Seems a great buy so far and a good, basic home treadmill. Don't expect more unless you pay more. And even then. If this lasts a year or two and is trouble free I'd happily buy another to replace it. If it lasts longer, even better. Sure as hell beats the time, effort, expense, inconvenience and patience it takes for me to go to the gym. And even gym goers like some activity at home. It can be convenient and Its nice to have options.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Only Review That You Need To Read.
Reviewed in Canada on January 7, 2021
It’s better than expected and it’s built super sturdy. I’m 6’2 and just under 260 lbs and it does everything that I need when it comes to sturdiness, tread size and functionality.
The only down side is that you have to download an App and jump through a couple hoops in order to get it started, but once you get it started it’s easy to use and a solid buy. Also, delivery was a couple days late but given the world climate right now combined with the size, I wasn’t surprised.

Prior to ordering on Amazon I had tried to order a treadmill straight from Horizon Fitness after lengthy research, but after the transaction was approved, a month later I was notified that they didn’t deliver to my location in the city, and I’m not sure if that was the actual reason given the high demand for home exercise equipment. That being said, when I searched on Amazon for a treadmill almost everything was “out of stock”, and with me being a bigger dude, I needed one that had the necessary specs to handle my size in order to get a good sweat on. So after further research on manufacturers and specs, I was lucky to find this unit that satisfied all my requirements/needs with only “2 left in stock” at a reasonable price, and it was delivered straight to my door and I’m super happy with it.

With all that is happening in this upside down world right now, I recognize the need to support local business but in some circumstances that is extremely difficult, and say what you will about Amazon and their success during these trying times. In my experience, with an increase in online purchases, Amazon has in place the capacity, inventory and capabilities to deliver when needed. I know that there is much controversy surrounding Amazon with their employee practices and their social, environmental and political impacts as well, but given the current world climate Amazon has continued to deliver consumer goods and necessities in a timely fashion in order to provide some semblance of normalcy during these trying times and I can respect that. That being said, I also believe that Amazon has the ability, the resources and the social responsibility to do more to help their hard working employees and their worldwide community of consumers/supporters as many local businesses that support their communities are currently struggling to stay alive while Amazon thrives.

In conclusion, you can tell that I have some extra time on my hands given the length of this review, and with the current world climate, home exercise equipment is as, if not more popular during a pandemic than toilet paper. If you’re lucky enough to be able to get one of these units given the current supply and demand... enjoy! Moreover, if you’ve read this far into this review, to quote the legendary Hal Johnson and Joanne McLeod, “stay fit and stay safe!”

4.0 out of 5 stars It’s great
Reviewed in Canada on November 2, 2024
I’m around 95kgs and 183cm guy. The treadmill seems stable. But I feel like the hands could’ve been stronger. I like to to HIIT, so I usually use the arms in the treadmill to lift myself out of the running band but with this I feel it’s not strong enough to do that.

Anyway it’s a decent enough product for a home gym for 1 or 2 people. Definitely not a commercial gym product.
