I read that in Europe, the highest concentration of retinol that can be sold is 0.3 which is how much retinol this product has. I used it 2 days in a row and my cheeks got hot and red so I’m doing the 123 method. 1X for 1 week. 2X for 2 weeks. 3X for 3 weeks. My eyes got dry and ached but it could be from a million reasons not to do with the retinol. I was careful to wash my hands with soap after I applied the retinol and before I applied sunscreen. It was easy to apply. It was a liquid and not creamy. I gave it 15 minutes to absorb before I put on my sunscreen. I figure if this is the most retinol people in Europe can use, then it’s a good amount for me. It seemed effective because my cheeks got hot and red which is a normal side effect so I just have to go slow in incorporating it into my regimen. I thought it was a good value for the money because it seemed effective.

give your skin time to get used to retinol
This was delivered May 3, 2023 and I thought I’d write a review after a few weeks. It’s is now July 15, 2023 and here are my insights. If you are new to using retinol, use this every other day for at least 2-3 weeks to jet your skin adapt to it. Yes, you may have some minor irritation, but for me, it’s definitely better now. I’ve been using the Neutrogena rapid wrinkle retinol repair cream in the a.m. and the retinol oil at night everyday for the past few weeks and I have to say that I think my fine lines are finally lessening. My under eye bags are still there, but possibly a tad less. With doing lots of reading about retinol overall, I plan to be diligent with this for 4-6 months to determine any additional improvement.I recommend both the retinol cream and the oil as part of the regimen, but again, allow several weeks of SLOWLY using this every other day or so until you start to see your skin is adapting to it. Slowness WILL pay off for you!On the side: I’ve been more diligent about using more clay masks about 3-4 times a week for my face as well….trying to use ingredients of vit C or hyaluronic acid or kaolin or collagen,etc and this is helping my 56 yr old face, too!I hope you find this review helpful for your choices!
